Zenith Bank holds final health walk for 2016

Staff, customers and partners of Zenith Bank last Saturday embarked on its last health walk for 2016 with a mission to promote the importance of exercise in the corporate world.

The over two-hour walk was held under the theme: "Walk for Health; Walk for Life", starting at 7 am at the Accra Sports Stadium with over 500 participants walking at a brisk pace through some principal streets of the capital.

They marched from the stadium to the independence square, the National Lottery Authority, the Judicial Service of Ghana, the Accra Metropolitan Assembly, the Rawlings Park, the Accra City Fire Station, the Champion Restaurant, Reine Chemist, the Bus Stop Restaurant, the King Tackie Tawiah Overpass, Sunny FM, Atlantic Computers, the Ridge Hospital, the Accra International Conference Centre and back to the stadium.

At the end of the walk, the participants engaged in an exciting "dance aerobics" session at the stadium.

In an interview after the walk, the CEO of the Bank, Henry Oroh, said the high display of energy levels he witnessed during the walk meant the theme of the walk has been fulfilled. 

He said, "Why do we embark on the Zenith Health Walk every year? We do this firstly for good health and secondly as an opportunity to gather together as a family.

"While we walk for health, here is some food for thought to make our lives much better. We can achieve good health by adopting the right healthy and active lifestyles."

He also expressed gratitude to partners of the bank including; Kasapreko Company Limited, Coca Cola Bottling Company Limited, Nestle Ghana Limited, Promasidor, PZ Cussons Ghana  Limited, Toyota Ghana Limited, Stallion Group of Companies, Del Hospital, C&J Medicare and the Community Hospital for joining staff of the bank for the walk.
