Pan-African Savings and Loans hold health walk and games

Staff of Pan-African Savings and Loans Company Limited last Saturday embarked on a health walk in Accra with a dual mission of promoting healthy lifestyles and a new mobile banking product called QUICK.

Hundreds of staff from nine of the 15 branches of the savings and loans company converged at their head office to begin their exciting journey.

The walk started at a brisk pace at the Pan-African Savings and Loans head office with several staff singing a chorus of cheer songs as they made their way to M-Plaza Hotel – Gold House – Accra Girls Senior High School – Roman Ridge – Medlab Pharmacy and ended at Senior Correctional Center Park, (formerly the Bostal Institute) Roman Ridge.

The staff led by the Managing Director (MD), Emelia Atta-Fynn were then taken through an aerobics session before they competed against each other in athletics (100m and relays), football, tug-of-peace, dancing, musical chairs and arm wrestling.

In an interview after the walk, the MD of Pan African Savings and Loans Company Limited, Madam Atta-Fynn emphasised the importance of exercise to workers in the financial sector.

She said, "We dedicated today to relax ourselves, the year has been a very tough one. We have gone through a lot of challenges but we believe that it is a good time to come together and enjoy ourselves and interact with each other because we have a lot of branches and don't get to always meet.

"We have 15 branches in total but we have nine branches here, the rest of them are doing the same thing simultaneously in Goaso and also in Kumasi. It is something that we do annually.

"Our work is very stressful and we tend you to sit a lot, so this is one of the ways we get to exercise regularly and look at our health. Also, we introduced a new product called QUICK and we decided to let people know about this product".
