The entire town was adorned with NDC paraphernalia, and hundreds of party supporters lined up the streets to welcome the Vice-President and his campaign team as they embarked on a campaign tour of the Brong Ahafo Region to solicit votes ahead of the general election.

Speakers

Scores of NDC faithful thronged a rally park where members of the campaign team each took turns to address them, impressing upon them to once again show their love for the party by voting for President John Mahama and the party’s parliamentary candidate for Tain, Mr Kwasi Agyeman Gyan-Tutu.

The Brong Ahafo Regional Campaign Coordinator, Alhaji Collins Dauda; the Brong Ahafo Regional Minister, Mr Eric Opoku and the First Vice-Chairman of the NDC, Mr Samuel Ofosu Ampofo were consistent in their call for the people to vote for the NDC.

Mr Ofosu Ampofo said development of the constituency could only be guaranteed under an NDC government and that any attempt to vote against the party could spell doom for the progress of the constituency.

Mr Asiedu Nketia asked the electorate in the constituency to continue to show support for the NDC bearing in mind the numerous development projects in the area, coupled with the quality leadership President Mahama had shown.

He asked the NDC supporters in the constituency to eschew involving themselves in chieftaincy matters, cautioning that the party would not come to the aid of any supporter caught fomenting trouble in the lead up to the installation of a new chief.

Vice-President

The Vice-President, for his part, urged party supporters not to be complacent but rather go all out and convince undecided voters to vote for President Mahama and Mr Gyan-Tutu.

He charged the constituents to ensure that not only should they vote for President Mahama but the parliamentary candidate as well.

On the final day of his campaign, Mr Amissah-Arthur paid a courtesy call on Nana Gyabah the Krontihene of Kuraso, a community in the Berekum West Constituency,  where he introduced the NDC parliamentary candidate, Mr Dickson Kyere-Duah, to the chiefs and asked them to support him.

The chief put a request to the Vice-President, calling on the government to expedite work on their  main road and establish of a senior high school at Kuraso.
