Held last Saturday at the Banquet Hall, State House, the award, which aimed at celebrating fathers and recognising men whose passion and commitment had rolled out major landmarks saw Dr Papa Kwesi Nduom beating the likes of Dr Kwabena Duffour, Dr Osei Kwame Despite and Togbe Afede XIV to win the Ultimate Man of the Year award.

According to the volunteers: “This award has renewed our spirit to campaign for you because this is evidence of acceptance of your ingenuity and industrious nature by Ghanaians who have voted you as the Ultimate Man of the Year. It also means Ghanaians shall be willing to accept you as the leader who shall take Ghana to the next level.”

The volunteers added that they pledged to continue to work diligently to support Dr Nduom, create a credible competitive political platform capable of winning power and many seats in parliament come November 2016.

Other award winners on the night were former President John Agyekum Kufuor, Leadership Award, Dr Kwabena Duffour, Man of the Year - Governance, and Dr Osei Kwame Despite, Man of the Year - Corporate Business.

Although the event was well organised, the only thing that took the shine off it was its late start and the fact that most of the winners were not present to pick up their awards.
