Mr Yeboah at the launch said when given the nod, he would ensure that school dropouts in the constituency were  mobilised and provided with entrepreneurial skills to enable them to become responsible citizens.

According to the parliamentary aspirant, one of his visions would be the establishment of a nursing training college in the district, which he said he had already contacted the ministry of health for that purpose.

He also said he had identified sports development in the constituency to encourage sporting activities to unearth those  who had interest in sports.

Catalyst to development

The Minister of Water Resources, Works and Housing, Dr Kwaku Agyemang-Mensah, said the NDC-government, which is social democratic oriented, had been working towards ensuring that every school-age child in the country had access to quality education.

He noted that education was the catalyst to maintain and sustain the development of countries worldwide.

He stressed that it was in this vein that the government introduced a policy to establish community senior high schools to enable children in remote areas to benefit from secondary education, thus testifying to the government avowed aim of getting education to all citizens.

Dr Agyemang-Mensah, who hails from Donkoto, a village in the constituency, reminded the people that it was education that had placed him where he was and, therefore, urged the people in the area to take advantage of the government’s  provision of infrastructure to educate their children.

He further noted that it was through his influence that the Nyinahin Senior High School had received facelift.

He said a community senior high school at Adobeawura, a village in the district, would serve about 30 communities in the area.

Vote for Mahama a Candidate

The minister reminded the people that it was only the NDC government that had the country at heart. He, therefore, called on the people to vote massively for President John Mahama as President and Mr Yeboah as their Member of Parliament at the December polls.

He reminded them that the Atwima-Mponua Constituency had its share of the national cake  and, therefore, should not allow anybody to deceive them.

He stressed that Mr Yeboah has all the qualities of a leader, adding that he is affable, highly respectful and has upright and untainted character thus, when they vote for him, he could lead them to progress.
