According to Head of Communications at the EC, Mr Eric Kofi Dzakpasu, the situation was the situation was not encouraging because most of these people needed to register to enable them cast their vote in the December 7 elections.

Mr Dzakpasu noted that the commission had increased publicity to enable people whose names were deleted to re-register.

He therefore charged the media, to use its platform to educate the people on the need to re-register.
