Krowor special voting mop-up proceeded smoothly

The extension of the special voting exercise in the Krowor Constituency in the Greater Accra Region took place smoothly at the Nungua District Police Station.

According to the presiding Officer, Mr. Frank Asare the number of people expected to cast their ballots were 311.

Voting started at exactly 7am and as at 8:04am 10 people had cast their vote with eight others who had come to vote unable to vote because their names could not be found in the register.

Aside this particular issue it was generally smooth. A gentleman from Aburi whom I spoke to was happy he has been able to vote because he couldn't do it at Aburi on December 1.

There were no long queues as people as happened on December 1 exercise. Voters trooped in either individually or in pairs.

Out of the four parliamentary candidates contesting in Krowor, only the New Patriotic Party and the National Democratic Congress had their polling agents were present while the People’s National Convention had a representative for the presidential candidate.
