The incumbent New Patriotic Party (NPP) Member of Parliament (MP) for Tema Central, Mr Kofi Brako has won the constituency parliamentary primaries to contest Elections 2016.

He polled 315 votes to defeat his contender Mr Agyemang Prempeh Ramseyer who garnered 95 votes
The losing candidates, immediately after the count, walked to the victor to congratulate him with a handshake amid shouts from the supporters with Gasmilla's hit song Telemo blurring away from the public address system.
