Besides, the association has equipped the newly constructed operating theatre of the Oda Government Hospital with three air conditioners and donated four led street lamps to the Jamaica Community at Oda to improve security in the area.

Addressing a section of the Akroso community at the chief’s palace after inspecting the completed projects at the Akroso Health Centre, the Chairman of the association, Dr Kwaku Adansi Ripim, said his outfit had also offered similar assistance to Akyem Kwabeng and Asamankese.

The Advisor and former Chairman of the association, Barima Asamoah Kofi IV, said the assistance offered to the Jamaican community and the Oda Hospital was in response to an appeal made by the Assembly Member for the Oda Towobotom Electoral Area, Madam Abena Nkansah Gyasi.

The Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for Birim Central, Mr Kwabena Bempong, commended members of the association for their commitment to the development of the country and urged other organisations at home and abroad to take a cue from the Okyeman Foundation.

He reiterated the assembly’s determination to provide separate wards for male and female in-patients at the Akroso Health Centre who were currently sharing one ward.

The MCE advised the management and patrons of the health centre to take proper care of the rehabilitated blocks and the septic tank.

The Akrosohene, Nana Kwabena Fori II, was full of praise for the association for the gesture and said he had personally constructed cells for the Akroso Police Station.
