Lions In Sight undertake eye clinic in Kumasi
A 22 member special eye clinic team from California/Nevada in the United States of America (USA) is Ghana for a free week long clinic mission in partnership with Lions Clubs of Ghana.

The US eye clinic team, known as the Lions In Sight, is led by Past International Director (PID) of Lions Clubs International, Dr Bill Iannaccone, Dr Corina Van de Pol and Dr Sarit Catchetorian.
The team includes seven doctors and 15 technicians.
Lions In Sight is a charitable Lions organisation based in Vallejo, California in the USA.
The team was met on arrival at the Kotoka International Airport at the weekend by members of the Lions Clubs of Ghana, led by Past District Governor, Lion Mrs Gloria Esi Lassey.
The team is currently in Kumasi, and with the assistance of Past Zone Chairperson, Lion Michaela Kusi, the experts will be having the clinic at the Saint Peters Basilica at the Roman Hill in Kumasi.
Lion Lassey told media personnel on arrival that since its founding in 1983, Lions In Sight had conducted over 300 missions around the world, and provided eye examinations to over 500,000 people.
Where needed, she said they have given free eyeglasses to people who needed them.
Over 3,000 patients are expected to be seen and to receive eye examinations and glasses where necessary, during the clinic in Kumasi, Lion Lassey noted.
She emphasised that the Lions In Sight mission formed part of activities marking the 100 years celebration of Lions Clubs International.
The clinic is also in line with the programmes ushering in the multiple district convention, which will be hosted by the Lions of Ghana in Accra, under the distinguished patronage of the President of the Republic of Ghana, in May next year.
PID Bill expressed appreciation to Lion Lassey and Lion Kusi, as well as the entire Lions Clubs of Ghana, for their roles in making it possible for them to come to Ghana to undertake such an important humanitarian mission.
