Youth advised to improve skills

The Member of Parliament for Manhyia North, Mr Collins Owusu Amankwah, has advised the youth in the constituency to endeavour to improve on their skills to  make themselves marketable and more attractive to employers.

He said the government would continue to resource the youth and also provide them with job opportunities, and improving on their skills would put them on the right stage to utilise opportunities in the New Patriotic Party (NPP) government.

he said there was therefore the need for them to prepare adequately for the job market by upgrading themselves through value addition.

Speaking to the media in Kumasi, Mr Amankwah said the government would create the enabling environment for the private sector to thrive and offer job opportunities to the teeming unemployed youth.

Unemployment

He admitted that one of the major problems confronting the youth in the country today was high unemployment and assured the people that the new NPP government would address that.

Mr Amankwah also noted those who wanted to aspire to greater heights must learn to personally add value to their capacities.

The MP called for support for the new government and asked the youth to also play their part by offering advice and alternative ideas to government for a successful implementation of all the policies it promised.

According to him, the NPP believed in the abilities of the Ghanaian youth and would be prepared to take on board their advice.

He assured the youth that the government would not abandon them.
