The Director of Human Resource of the Ghana Prison Service, Mr K.K. Kpeli, who made the call said training was a learning process that involved the acquisition of knowledge, sharpening of skills, concepts, rules, or changing of attitudes and behaviours to enhance the performance of employees, hence the need for officers to take it seriously.

“It is a continuous process by which an employee actually gets the knowledge and gets to know how he or she can perform well in the organisation,” he added.

He urged the participants to take full advantage of the two-day training session to learn as much as they could to further build their capacity for better performance in the training of officers who pass through their hands.

Mr Leonard Quarcoopome, a seasoned HR professional, served as the Resource Person from IHRMP, he facilitated the workshop which was held on Tuesday, April 3 and Wednesday, April 4, 2017.
