Veep consoles family of late Constable Daniel Owusu

The Vice President, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia has visited the family the late General Constable Daniel Owusu to console them.

He visited the family on Tuesday July 25, 2017 together with the Minister of Interior, Mr Ambrose Dery and the Inspector General of Police, Mr David Asante-Apeatu.

The Vice President sent warm greetings from the President to the family and assured them of government support.

Also accompanying the team were the Director-General in charge Police Officers’ Welfare, COP/Mr Prosper Agblor, ACP/Mr Owusu Boateng, Deputy Accra Regional Commander, ACP/Mrs Habiba Twumasi Sarpong of the Community Policy Unit and ACP/Mr David Ekly, Director General in charge of Public Affairs.

Constable Owusu was shot by some criminals at Lapaz in Accra on Thursday July 13 whilst on patrol duties.
