Upper West Zoomlion sprays Lambussie-Karni District
The Upper West Regional office of the Zoomlion Ghana Limited has, in collaboration with the Lambussie-Karni District Assembly, undertaken a mass spraying exercise at Lambussie and other adjoining communities.

Just as is done for all other districts in the region, the spraying exercise was aimed at minimising the presence of houseflies and other harmful vectors which are the main cause of cholera and other diseases within the vicinity.
The Upper West Regional Vector Control Officer of Zoomlion, Mr Ezekiel Ayamga, told the Daily Graphic, that the spraying exercise was also targeted at other disease causing vectors such as mosquitoes.
He said it was the aim of the company to reduce vector-borne diseases in the districts drastically and to contribute to cleanliness and disease-free environment in the district.
Mr Ayamga said the exercise was being replicated in all the districts in the region and advised the people to take sanitation- related issues seriously.
That, he explained, would help prevent cholera and other diseases.
The District Environmental Health Officer, Mr Sidik Yakubu, expressed appreciation to the company for their support and expressed satisfaction with the spraying exercise.
He, therefore, stressed the need for the company and the community to maintain the cordial relationship that exist between the district assembly and Zoomlion, adding that the spraying exercise would go a long way to minimise and prevent the outbreak of diseases in the district.
