Unemployed man steals musical instruments from church
An unemployed man, Kwasi Daniel, is before an Accra Magistrate’s court for stealing from a church.

Daniel was charged with unlawful entry and stealing when he appeared before the court, but he pleaded not guilty.
He was granted bail in the sum of GH¢6,000 and was also asked to present three sureties by the court, presided over by Mr James Kojo Botah.
Presenting the facts of the case, Chief Inspector Gregory Yeboah told the court that on July 2, 2016, at about 4a.m. Daniel unlawfully entered the Christ Power Encounter Ministry Church at Kasoa Toll booth near Accra when the church was opened for morning devotion.
The prosecutor said Daniel stole musical instruments, three amplifiers, two microphones and one double equaliser valued at GH¢5,900 and parked the instrument in a dustbin.
According to the prosecutor, Daniel then pulled the dustbin to the roadside and headed towards Accra. On reaching Broadcasting Junction, he was spotted by a police patrol team.
Prosecutor Yeboah said the patrol team became suspicious of Daniel and decided to conduct a search on him.The said items were found in the dustbin after the search and he admitted stealing them from the church.
Daniel subsequently led the police to the church auditorium where Daniel Essuah, an assistant pastor of the church, confirmed that the instruments were indeed the property of the church.
In his caution statement, he admitted that he usually travelled to Kasoa and whenever he got to the church area, he always saw that the church was open so he seized the opportunity to enter on that day.
