Two juveniles rob man at gunpoint

Two juveniles who robbed a 53-year-old man of his motorbike and mobile phone at gunpoint at Kparibe on the Tamale-Salaga road in the Northern Region last Monday have been arrested by the police.

According to the police, the two, each wielding a locally manufactured pistol, carried out the attack during the day but they were arrested shortly afterwards when they offered the stolen items for sale.

Their names were given by the police as Abukari Seidu, 15, and Umaru Alidu, 17. 

They have been charged for conspiracy to commit crime and robbery and the possession of fire arms and ammunition without authority.

Briefing

The Northern Regional Police Public Relations Officer (PRO), Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) Ebenezer Tetteh, who confirmed their arrest said the two, who had been charged with conspiracy to commit crime and robbery and possession of fire arms and ammunition, would be put before court.
