Tobinco pharma presents incubators to hospital at Akatsi

Tobinco Pharmaceuticals Ltd and the Amo Tobbin Foundation have presented two baby incubators worth GH¢20,000 to the St Paul’s Hospital at Akatsi in the Volta Region.

The donation was at the request of the Founder of the hospital, Dr Paul Doe-Dagbui, who expressed worry about frequent death of premature babies at the facility due to lack of incubators.

The Managing Director of Tobinco Pharmaceuticals Ltd,  Mr Kwasi Poku Appiah, presented the equipment to the hospital last weekend.

Mr Appiah promised regular visit and monitoring of the facilities to ensure the incubators were always in good shape.

He said the company would continue to support deprived companies and institutions working in deprived communities to improve the wellbeing of the people.

For his part, the General Manager, Marketing and Communications of TOBINCO, Mr Ben Kpabi Tetteh said being a leading pharmaceuticals company, TOBINCO decided to respond to the need of the hospital to curb the situation.

“We expect that the St Paul’s Hospital will put these equipment into good use so that lives can be saved. We don’t want to see babies dying as a result of lack of equipment,” he said.

He said the foundation would continue to impact lives and support the hospital by supplying quality products at reasonable prices.”

 “Once we work in a community, it’s our corporate social responsibility to help others, especially through our foundation. Therefore, whenever it becomes necessary to support, we will be available,” Mr Tetteh pledged.

Service to humanity

Dr Doe-Dagbui, who received the incubators on behalf of the hospital, said they would go a long way to help the hospital save pre-mature babies.

“The hospital will no more lose premature babies because of the facilities that has been provided by TOBINCO,” saying “I sincerely thank Tobinco Pharmaceuticals Limited and the Amo Tobbin Foundation for their generosity.”
