Tema Habour gets tyre centre
C.Woermann Ghana (CW), dealers in Michelin and Goodrich tyres, has opened a modern tyre servicing centre at the Tema Harbour.

The facility, apart from the sale of all range of Michelin tyres, also has a servicing centre where customers could service their tyres, have their wheel balancing and alignment done, and their tyre rotation and puncture repaired.
The new centre, located on the premises of the SO Energy fuel vending station, becomes the first of such facilities within the harbour enclave.
At the launch, the Managing Director of C.Woermann, Mr Carsten Duwer, indicated that many road accidents could be linked to substandard tyres.
He observed that inappropriate maintenance went to affect the quality of tyres, hence increasing accident rates.
To ensure quality service delivery, Mr Duwer said the company had well-trained professionals to man the centre and offer services to clients.
"Our philosophy is to offer premium quality products supported by high-level services, hence our partnership with the world's leading tyre manufacturer, Michelin, for 25 years now,” Mr Duwer said.
Special Attention
Mr Duwer said worn-out tyres, which are commonly used by many motorists owing to their inability to afford new ones, reduce braking capability and increase the potential of accidents, especially on wet roads.
“Considering the nature of roads across parts of Ghana, it is important for motorists to pay special attention to their tyres,” Mr Duwer stressed.
While commending the Tema Metropolitan Assembly (TMA) for granting the company operating permit in the metropolis, Mr Duwer also assured customers of value for money on the company’s range of services.
