State Housing Company gets new MD

Mr Isaac Nai, Manager in charge of Finance and Administration at the State Housing Company (SHC) has been appointed as interim Managing Director of the company.

Mr Nai’s appointment follows the dismissal of Dr Mark Nii Akwei Ankrah after workers of the company filed a petition against him at the Ministry of Water Resources, Works and Housing for alleged financial malfeasance and embezzlement of state funds. 

The former MD is alleged to have used Gh¢36,000 of company funds to pay his phone bills every month.

Subsequently, the Ministry has put together a three-member Committee to investigate the allegations against Dr Ankrah. The Committee has a month to complete its work and present a report.
