She was presented with a citation which commended her for her role in supporting the development of education in the country.

They also commended her for taking personal interest in the welfare of the needy and people in deprived areas of the country.

At the presentation ceremony, the Metropolitan Archbishop of the Catholic Church, Most Rev. Gabriel Justice Yaw Anokye, praised Lady Julia for her exemplary life and for mentoring young girls to grow to be responsible people in society.

Most Rev. Anokye said there was the need for the privileged in society to influence the lives of all others positively.

Acceptance

Lady Julia Osei Tutu, in her acceptance speech, commended the staff and management of the school for the gains made over the past years leading to the attainment of various laurels for the school.

She reminded the students to take advantage of the available resources and the good learning environment to prepare themselves for a better tomorrow.

Lady Julia said although the various stakeholders in the nation’s education were providing all the needed support towards the development of education, success, however, could only be achieved if the students themselves prepared their minds to learn hard to attain their dreams.

She explained that although countless opportunities abounded after school, such opportunities were only accessible to people who positioned themselves to be part of what the employers were looking for.

“At your age, there is the need for you to strive for academic excellence and all other things shall follow you, and make sure no other thing destructs you as you prepare yourself for the future,” she said.

The wife of the Asantehene further appealed to parents to complement the effort of teachers by imbibing in their children good moral values so that they can stay in school without much difficulty when being trained.

Lady Julia Osei Tutu pledged the support of the Manhyia Palace to the school, saying everything possible would be done to contribute towards the development of the school.
