The Technical Manager in charge of Car Refinishing at Bamson, Mr Moses Mintah-Sampong took the sprayers and artists through automotive paints handling, while the painters had a day’s training in decorative paints use.
“It was observed in the course of the training that the participants had very little practical knowledge and had only benefited from the theoretical aspect of studies in their various fields,” Mr Mintah-Sampong told the Daily Graphic
In view of that, he said, the instructors requested for longer training periods to enable the students to acquire the required practical knowledge in both the automotive and decorative paint programmes.
The technical manager advised the military to endeavour to acquire the basic equipment and tools at its training school, saying, “That would be important for the practical training of the students from the first year”.
“Bamson can support with materials and logistics for the practical programmes,” he added.
The Sales and Marketing Manager at Bamson Company Limited, Mr Emmanuel Bamfo, expressed his satisfaction with the programme and said he was hopeful that it would help to promote a stronger working relationship between Bamson Company and the Ghana Armed Forces.
