'Sallah' robbers shoot teenager in Kumasi

A teenager who was shot by suspected armed robbers in Kumasi on Tuesday night is in a stable condition, reports Graphic Online's Daniel Kenu.

Identified as Abdul Osman, the 17-year-old Junior High School (JHS) leaver was shot in the head by the unknown assailants at a 'Sallah' street jam at Asawasi near 'Ahenboboano' [Manhyia Palace].

The robbers who were seizing mobile phones from their victims reportedly shot Osman when he refused to hand over his phone.

The incident happened at "On the Run" behind OTEC FM in Kumasi where the street jam was organised.

Kenu reported that when he visited the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital (KATH) Wednesday morning, Osman who is from Moshie Zongo was in a stable condition and was asleep.
