Rita Oppong crowned 2016 Best teacher

A female teacher of the Sowah Din Memorial 2 Junior High School in the Adentan Municipality of the Greater Accra, Ms Rita Oppong has been crowned as the overall National Best Teacher for 2016. Ms Oppong, is a pre-Vocational Skills teacher. 

The first runner up of the award ceremony which took place at the Jubilee Park in Sunyani Wednesday afternoon was Mr Samuel Kofi Boateng of the Ghana Secondary Technical School at Takoradi.

The second runner up was Mr Dilemma Inusah Salami of the Sacred Heart Senior Secondary School at Nsoatre in the Brong Ahafo Region.

For the awards of the three, a Ghc100,000 dummy cheque for the construction of a three bedroom house, a double decker Toyota Pickup and a Saloon Car respectfully were presented by President John Dramamine Mahatma.
