The Family of Gregory Afoko has called for the arrest and interrogation of all those recently mentioned as having a hand in the murder of the former Upper East Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party, Alhaji Adams Mahama.

The Northern Regional Chairman of the NPP, Mr. Daniel Bugri Naabu in a recent quarrel with Madam Otiko Afisa Djaba, the Minister of Gender, Children and Social Protection alleged that she together with the others had a hand in the death of Adams Mahama.

In a statement later however, Mr Naabu said he had no proof to that effect but said it was a “slip of tongue.”

At a Press Conference organised by the family of Gregory Afoko at Sandema in the the Builsa North District Monday morning, the family spokesperson, Mr Robert Atong Asekabta called for the arrest and interrogation of Mr. Kamal Deen Abdulai, the National  Nasara Coordinator of the NPP to assist in the murder of the late Adam Mahama.

He said Gregory Afoko was arrested based on allegations in connection with the murder.

"So just as Gregory Afoko was arrested on the allegation of someone, it is our humble plea to the police that Madam Otiko Afisa Djaba, Mr. Rockson Bukari and Bugri Naabu himself be arrested or invited by the Police to assist in finding who actually killed Adams Mahama and for what purpose. The law must be seen to be applied equally to all manner of persons."
