Rejoinder: Court reverses termination of former Bosomtwe Rural Bank GM

The attention of the Board of Directors and Management of Bosomtwe Rural Bank Limited has been drawn to a publication on page 30 of the Saturday, March 11, 2017 edition of the Daily Graphic under the heading “Court reverses termination of former Bosomtwe Rural Bank GM”.

The bank is hereby issuing this rejoinder to clear the erroneous impression that Felix Owusu-Achiaw, the dismissed General Manager of the bank, is painting to the public.

The bank wishes to inform the general public that it has lodged an appeal against parts of the judgement by the trial judge of the High Court at the Court of Appeal, Kumasi. The notice of appeal was filed on December 21, 2016. The bank is reliably informed that Felix was served with a copy of the notice of appeal on or around March 3, 2017.

By reason of the pendency of the appeal, it is discernible that:

(i) the judgement that Felix Owusu-Achiaw is telling the whole world has been appealed against which is yet to be determined ;

(ii) that Felix Owusu-Achiaw still has huge outstanding debts on his car and housing loans, which are still attracting interest;

(iii) that Felix Owusu-Achiaw is and remains a former General Manager of the Bosomtwe Rural Bank Ltd having been dismissed for wrongful acts and breaches of basic banking duties;

(iv) that anyone who deals with Felix Owusu-Achiaw will be doing so with a former employee who does not hold any position in Bosomtwe Rural Bank Ltd.

It is, therefore, unfortunate that in the face of his dismissal, Felix is holding himself up as the ‘manager’ of the rural bank when the court system has not finally cleared him of the wrong and illegal acts that led to his summary dismissal by Bosomtwe Rural Bank Ltd.
