Refurbished Judicial Service Clinic inaugurated
A refurbished clinic of the Judicial Service, expected to provide improved healthcare services to judges and members of staff of the service, has been inaugurated at its headquarters in Accra.

The clinic now has a laboratory, diagnostic equipment, a pharmacy, two consulting rooms and male and female wards.
Inaugural ceremony
Located within the Supreme Court Complex, the facility was closed down in 2015 for renovation and expansion works.
Present at the reopening ceremony last Thursday were justices of the superior courts, representatives of the Judicial Service Staff Association of Ghana (JUSAG) and the Association of Magistrates and Judges, Ghana (AMJG).
At the event, the Judicial Secretary, Mr Justice Alex Poku-Acheampong, said the reopening of the clinic would promote the health and well-being of the judges and administrative staff stationed at the headquarters of the Judicial Service.
He said the clinic would also augment the operations of another clinic located within the Law Court Complex, which houses the High Courts in Accra.

“The clinic has undergone massive renovation; it now has medical staff to man it. We trust that we will all use it well to enable it to serve its purpose. This clinic will serve the health needs of judges, administrative staff and their dependants,” he said.
The medical officer in charge of the clinic, Dr Naomi Apea, for her part, advised judges and members of staff of the Judicial Service to visit the facility regularly and not only when they were sick.
