Rededicate yourselves to God and service of humankind--Prez Akufo-Addo urges Muslims

The President, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, has urged Muslims to rededicate themselves to God and the service of humankind, especially during this period of Ramadan (fasting).

In a fraternal message to Muslims in Ghana and around the world on the occasion of the Ramadan, he said the month of Ramadan was “a month of intense devotion and commitment to the principles of love, sacrifice and dedication to duty”.

Virtues

The President prayed that Muslims would strive to live by those virtues, “so that, even beyond Ramadan, we continue to commit ourselves to the good of humankind and our fellow Ghanaians”.

“We have an opportunity to realise our potential as the Black Star of Africa and it is my belief that the principles that Ramadan seeks to inculcate in Muslims are important for realising this objective,” he further stated.

He also prayed that “Almighty Allah would bless all Ghanaians and make our nation great and strong”.
