Pure Fire Ministries organises dental outreach at Kisseman
A medical Officer at the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital (KBTH), Dr Philip Bayitse, has expressed concern about the rising spate of oral diseases and stressed the need for patients to urgently seek medical treatment.

He stated that apart from the discomfort if such diseases continued without treatment, they could create health complications leading to death.
Dental Outreach
Dr Bayitse said this in an interaction with the Daily Graphic during a Dental Outreach Programme organised for children by the Pure Fire Miracle Ministries at Kisseman in Accra.
Children were educated on the signs and symptoms, health complication, prevention and control of dental diseases.
There was also a demonstration on how to brush the teeth.
The children were also treated for oral conditions and provided with supplies, while others were referred to the hospital for further action.
The outreach programme was funded by a member of the church and Chief Executive of Champion Oil Company Ltd, Mr Alfred Agbosu.
Oral diseases
Dr Bayitse said oral diseases and their attendant complications were as dangerous as any other killer disease and stressed the need for people to seek medical attention immediately they saw any symptoms.
“Oral health is not only about the teeth; other complications such as oral cancer can set in and lead to death, he said.
Although he could not give statistics to support his claim, Dr Bayitse said, “People have died from oral diseases on many occasions after self-medication.”
He said just recently, somebody died of infection after applying a concoction to his jaw to treat toothache.
The dentist underscored the need to support the Dental Department of the KBTH to enable many people to benefit from its services.
Responsibility
The General Overseer of the Pure Fire Miracle Ministries, Prophet Dr Enoch Aminu, said it was the responsibility of the ministries of God to see to the well-being of the people, particularly children; hence, the programme.
