Project love of Christ in society - Very Rev. Mensah

Christians have been urged to demonstrate the traits of Christianity which Christ portrayed in order to impact society. In a Christmas message during a Nine Lessons and Carols service held by the Accra South Circuit Methodist Men’s Fellowship last Monday, the Very Rev. George Mensah, Superintendent Minister, urged the members of the fellowship to live above reproach and project the love of Christ in their communities.

The event was on the theme: “Hallelujah to our King.”

Show love of Christ

Very Rev. Mensah reminded them that as people who were known Christians in their communities, their lives should demonstrate the love of God that led to the birth of baby Jesus to save mankind.

“Do not let it be said of you that: where is the Christ in you?” Rev. Mensah admonished them.

He advised them to learn the word of God and apply it diligently to their lives.

Grateful to God

The Accra South Circuit Methodist Men’s Fellowship comprises the men’s fellowships of the Rev. Henry Wharton Memorial Methodist Church, the Ablekuma Methodist Church and the Freeman Methodist Church.

The Circuit Chairman, Mr Kingsley Lamptey, said the service was the last activity of the association to thank God for sustaining it throughout the year.

He commended the members for their active involvement in the activities of the association which had made it very vibrant.

“This association is poised to make an impact by working towards the growth of the Methodist Church in the Accra South Circuit,” he said.
