Police arrest mastermind of Fiapre toll booth destruction

A Sunyani Magistrate Court has granted bail to the Assemblyman for Dumasua near Sunyani, Mark Tetteh, suspected to be the ring leader of a group of people who set the Fiapre Toll Booth ablaze last Friday.

They were said to have chased out the attendants and burnt the booth and the sales for the day moments after the announcement of the results of the presidential election.

Tetteh was arrested Monday at Dumasua and processed soon afterwards for court by the police and charged for causing damage to state property.

He was admitted to bail with two sureties and made to pay GH¢ 10,000.00 before being released to reappear on Tuesday, December 20, 2016.

Petty traders selling all kinds of things on the sides of the booth have condemned the act and called for measures to restore operations of the toll both.

Meanwhile commuters plying the Sunyani-Berekum route have been having a fields day following the destruction of the toll booth.
