Results are still trickling-in from collation centres across the country and various media outlets including Graphiconline are projecting that the opposition leader Nana Akufo-Addo of the New Patriotic Party is in the lead.

Curiously, the NPP is associated with the colour blue just as the lanyards issued by EC to media persons covering the 2016 Presidential and Parliamentary elections.
In 2012, the EC issued accreditation tags with green lanyards, a colour predominantly associated with the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC).
So we ask, can the EC's choice in the colour of lanyards play a role in deciding who will be president?
