#NSMQ: Prempeh College just silenced Mfantsipim school, meets Adisco at grande finale

Prempeh College from the Ashanti Region put up a spirited performance to silence Mfantsipim School from Central Region and Mawuli School from Volta Region, at the semi-finals of the National Science and Maths Quiz on Monday.

Prempeh won with 55 points to join Adisadel College, which also qualified earlier for the grande finale slated for Thursday June 29, 2017.

The winner from the third semi-finals featuring Kumasi High School, PRESEC and St Thomas Aquinas will take the last slot in the grande final.

Mfantsipim School gave a good contest but ended up with 49 points to Prempeh’s 55 points. First time semi-finalists Mawuli School secured 43 points.

In the first semi-finals, the Adisadel College in Cape Coast beat Ghana National College and University Practice Senior High School, all in Cape Coast.

Adisadel College won with 36 points while Ghana National and University Practice bagged 27 and 35 points respectively.

The grand finale is slated for Thursday, June 29, 2017 at the National Theatre in Accra.
