NLA invites Illegal lotto operators to join fold

The Director-General of the National Lottery Authority (NLA), Mr Kofi Osei-Ameyaw, has announced the authority’s preparedness to embrace all illegal lotto operators who are willing to join the NLA.

He said the NLA was ready to work with all lotto operators who were ready to come under the umbrella of the authority by issuing them with licences and providing them with point of sale terminals (POSTs) to operate.

Mr Osei-Ameyaw announced the offer when executives of the Association of Lotto Marketing Companies (ALMC) paid a courtesy call on him to discuss issues of mutual concern.

This comes on the back of a petition by the Concerned Lotto Agents Association of Ghana (CLAAG) to the government to amend the Lotteries Act to include private sector participation in the country’s lottery industry.
