Nii Kotei Dzani is Best Entrepreneur

Nii Kotei Dzani, President of Groupe Ideal, has been adjudged the Overall Best Entrepreneur of the year 2016 for his exceptional contributions towards the country’s socio-economic development.

He was also touted as one successful entrepreneur who demonstrated vision, business excellence and innovation and therefore deserved  to be honoured.

He was presented with a plaque at the Seventh Ghana Entrepreneur and Corporate Executive Awards 2017.

The annual awards organised by Entrepreneurs Foundation of Ghana (EFG) in association with Omnibank and endorsed by the Ministries of Trade and Industry and Finance, sought to reward excellence among the most committed entrepreneurs and corporate executives in Ghana.

Speaking on the award, Nii Dzani advised the youth to build up good attitudes and integrity to succeed in entrepreneurship.

“Success, indeed comes with hard work. It has not been an easy journey in my career as an entrepreneur. A lot was required of me. The story is endless and surely will be told one day to inspire many. It was never a smooth experience. However, with hard work, determination, perseverance and by the grace of God, I am where I am today.’’

He expressed appreciation for the honour bestowed on him, saying success is never achieved on a silver platter.

The Deputy Minister of Trade and Industry, Mr Carlos Ahenkorah said the private sector continued to be the engine of growth in Ghana and it was vitally important that their efforts and contributions were recognised, encouraged and celebrated.

He said the government was committed to the creation of an enabling environment for the private sector to prosper and had couched a 10-pillar strategic plan in terms of industrialisation and growth.

He stated that the policies include a stimulus package that seeks to access companies based on their strength to give them the necessary assistance to thrive and 100 companies had been so far identified.

A Deputy Minister of Information, Mr Kojo Oppong Nkrumah said the government had rolled out an economic intervention programme to provide an amount of over GH¢200 million in technical and financial support to distressed companies.

He said the government was also working on the National Entrepreneurship Innovation Plan which would focus on accelerating and improving the quality of entrepreneurship and promote innovation in businesses.

The President of the EFG Mr Sam Ato Gaisie,  said the initiative was to inspire Ghanaian entrepreneurs to undertake entrepreneurship and also enhance the visibility of local entrepreneurs and businesses.

Nii Dzani is an entrepreneur and businessman par excellence, with extensive business experience as an economist and business owner with a proven record of successful entrepreneurship.

He brings on board considerable years of experience in managing Micro & SME financing operations in Ghana.

He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from the University of Cape Coast, Ghana and an Honorary Doctorate from the Oral Roberts University, Oklahoma, USA. He also holds an MBA in Corporate Governance & Finance from the University of Hull, United Kingdom. He is currently undertaking a professional law degree.

The companies that form this spectrum include: Ideal Finance, First Trust Savings and Loans, Ideal Capital partners, Ideal Asset Solutions, Ideal Trade, TV Africa, Ideal Pension Trust, Ideal Insurance brokers, Tsaste Foundation, a CSR wing of the Groupe Ideal Financial Holdings Force 64 Security and Westfield Offshore Consult.
