The deceased, whose name was given only as Affal, had a deep cut on his head. The street was stained with his blood.

His brother, the pillion rider, however, managed to jump off the bike and was rushed to the hospital in an unconscious state.

According to some eyewitnesses, Affal and his brother blocked the road with the motorbike with registration number M-16-6R 687 for the convoy that had gone to the cemetery and were signaling all oncoming vehicles to stop.

When the driver of the truck with registration number GR 5343 A got to the scene, his brakes failed and the truck hit Affal and dragged him to a distance.

A wailing relative of the deceased, whose name was given only as Issah, told the Daily Graphic at the scene of the accident that they lived at Accra New Town and he was with Affal at the cemetery before the incident.

The police later arrived at the scene and said the accident was still under investigations.
