Melcom attends Canton Fair, Guangdong

The Melcom Group, Ghana’s leading retail outlet, recently participated in the 121st session of the China Import and Export Fair in Canton Fair Complex in Guangdong, China, which saw foreign traders and exhibitors from across the world attending.

A statement from the Deputy Director General of the China Foreign Trade Centre, Mr Xu Bing, described the event as successful and indicated that the National Commerce system had implemented series of trade policies and documents by the Party Central Committee and the State Council.

According to the statement, the fair was key to a new historical strategy point as it was a continuation of the past 60 years of brilliant history and the beginning of a bright future in the foreign trade sector.

The annual fair showcases products ranging from electronics and household electrical appliances, lighting products, consumer goods, home decoration products, building materials and energy products.

Led by its Chairman, Mr Bhagwan Khubchandani, the Melcom Group has over the years attended the fair and the chairman had consistently urged businesses to be part of the fair.

He was accompanied by the Joint Managing Director of the group, Mr Mahesh Melwani, the Head of Sourcing and Merchandising, Mr Raja Udhwani, and other senior officials of the company.
