His three accomplices, Paa Tetteh, Dominic, alias Black and Moses, are however, on the run.

The court has ordered the police to send the docket to the Attorney General’s Department for advice.

The police prosecutor, ASP Richmond Akwasi Yeboah, told the Odumase Krobo Circuit Court, presided over by Mr Frank Yao Gbeddy, that on April 28, 2016 at about 11:30 a.m, the complainant, Michael Teye, and his younger brother, a witness in the case,  were sent by their mother  to  pay a debt she owed a rice seller at Agomanya, a suburb of Odumase Krobo.

ASP Yeboah said  when Teye and his brother got to the store of the rice seller, they did not meet her so they decided to return home.

ASP Yeboah said when they got  to the Agomanya Taxi rank, the four accused persons attacked Teye and his brother with machetes and asked them to surrender the money and their mobile phones.

He said Teye and his brother resisted but the four over powered them and collected Teye’s mobile phones and a cash of GHc280 and bolted with their booty.

The prosecutor said after the act, the four went into hiding.

ASP Yeboah said a report was made  to the police and Natey was later arrested .

During interrogation, he denied the robbery charge but stated that Teye rather brought a gang of young men wielding machetes and attacked their friends at Saisi.
