Low patronage of Accra’s beaches on Eid-ul-Adha
The beaches of Accra recorded low patronage by patrons, as holiday makers failed to troop there in their numbers to have fun and relax in commemoration of the Eid-Ul-Adha festival.

When the Daily Graphic visited some beaches, including the Titanic and the Labadi beaches, both in Accra, it was observed that people from all walks of life were there to kill boredom and stress.
At the Labadi Beach, some companies had advertised their products, while artists were doing still-life painting and facial artwork.
Mr Francis Antwi, who went to the beach with his family, said it was their first time at the Labadi Beach and they were enjoying the atmosphere, except that they did not like the crowd.
Low patronage
The Public Relations Officer of the Labadi Beach, Mr Abdul Rahman Ashitey, said patronage was low, compared to what was witnessed on the May Day celebrations on May 1, this year.
Mr Nii Awatey, a beads seller at the beach, complained of low sales and blamed it on the economy.
A French national who is in Ghana for holidays said he was enjoying the moment and that was going to make his stay in Ghana a memorable one.
Security
Personnel from the Marine Police and the Ghana Police Service were on hand to provide security for patrons.
The story was not different at the Titanic Beach, where there were a number of policemen to maintain law and order.
