Legon students sensitised to educational opportunities within EU countries

The Centre for European Studies, University of Ghana, in collaboration with the European Union (EU), has organised an information session to sensitise students to educational opportunities within the EU.

The over 400 students, drawn from the College of Humanities of the university, were also educated on the Erasmus Mundus Programme.The programme is an EU initiative which supports projects, partnerships, events and mobility in the areas of education, training, youth and sport. The sensitisation seminar was targeted at students interested in undertaking internships and further studies (with full scholarships) in Europe.SpeakersThe Director for the Centre for European Studies, Professor Ransford Gyampo, Head of the European Union in Ghana, Ambassador William Hanna, as well as other EU officials and Erasmus Mundus alumni took turns to dialogue with the students on various avenues and opportunities available to them under the programme.  Erasmus programmeThe Erasmus programme is managed by the European Commission (the EU's executive body), its Education,  Audio-visual and Culture Executive Agency (EACEA), among other partners.
