Kumasi Metro NASPA honours NSS director
Kumasi Metro branch of the National Service Personnel Association (NASPA) has honoured the Kumasi Metro Director of the National Service Scheme (NSS), Rev. Kwame Adjei, with a citation for his contribution to both the scheme and the association.

At a ceremony held at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) in Kumasi, the Deputy Ashanti Regional Coordinating Director, Mr Francis Duah Darko, on behalf of NASPA, presented the citation to Rev. Adjei.
The Kumasi Metro NASPA President, Mr Stephen Andura, said with the service period for this year coming to a close, the national service personnel in the metropolis found it suitable to show appreciation to the Metro Director of the NSS for his support.
He said members of NASPA could not withdraw from national service duties without expressing their gratitude to the director in particular and the staff for their support.
The citation read: “It is a trite but profound expression that a person who exudes loyalty deserves royalty. You have been a firm support to this association and have contributed in diverse ways to our progress.”
“You did not withhold your best from this association when we needed you. Our cause as an association has always been to make the spirit of our motto: ‘Ready to Serve’ prevail and in your own small way, you have helped us achieve that,” it read.
It further stated: “Our hearts are deep with gratitude as on this day we publicly celebrate you. Such a special person as yourself deserves a golden handshake. For your immense contribution and unalloyed show of solidarity towards this association, we say ayekoo.”
Appreciation
For his part, the Metro NSS Director conveyed his gratitude to the NASPA for the honour done him and said he was hopeful that the personnel would continue to work with zeal and dedication wherever they found themselves.
Rev. Adjei prayed for the personnel and asked for God’s blessings for them.
The 2016/2017 batch of National Service Personnel began their service duties in Kumasi in September 2016 and are expected to complete in August 2017.
