Activities at the celebration included a procession of the various ‘asafo’ groups, traditional dances and other cultural activities.

The main activity was the sprinkling of the traditional food ‘kpokpoi’ by the Koteiman Mantse, Nii Amon Kotei II, through some principal areas under the jurisdiction of Koteiman amid drumming and firing of muskets by various Asafo groups.

In his address Nii Kotei II advised the people to unite and contribute their quota towards the development of the area.

According to him, the development of any community depended on how united the people were and their positive mindset.

“Let us not forget that without unity, we are no longer a people because division cannot bring any development,” he said.

He also charged the people to take sanitation issues seriously, and particularly desilt their choked gutters to avoid getting malaria.

Nii Kotei II further appealed to the people to take advantage of the free senior hight school (SHS) policy by sending their children to school, especially the girl-child.
