Korle Bu Teaching Hospital restricts admissions to Burns Centre

The management of the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital says it has had to restrict admissions to the Reconstructive Plastic Surgery and Burns Centre as a result of ongoing renovation works which have led to the temporary closure of some wards.

A statement issued by the Hospital, signed by Mustapha Salifu, Head of Public Relations, asked the general public and referring hospitals to note that admissions to the Centre, from now until the renovations works are completed, will be considered on a case-by-case basis and bed availability.

“Referring hospitals are advised to contact the Centre for clearance on 0302-662809/ 0302678188 before transferring patients”, the statement counseled and assured that while the inconvenience caused is regrettable, the renovation is intended to improve the services the Hospital provides patients.

“The public will be duly informed when the works are completed.”
