The items are a Yamaha motorbike, a set of computer, two sets of ceiling fans, two wall clocks and a bundle of A4 sheets.

The motorbike in particular would aid the police in reducing road accidents occurring on the Asante Akyem stretch of the Kumasi-Accra trunk road.

Dr Ogbordjor, who is currently pursuing membership at the Ghana College of Physicians and Surgeons, realised the need to make the  presentation when he embarked on a study bordering on the epidemiological factors of road accidents occurring in the Asante Akyem area.

At a presentation ceremony at Konongo, Dr Ogbordjor said at a point in time he became devastated about the rate at which accidents were occurring on the Juaso-Ejisu stretch of the road.

He observed that most of the accident victims who died were kept at the morgue of First Klass Hospital and the earlier he collaborated with the police to clamp down on the  menace the better for the people.

He urged the police to strive  to achieve little or zero record on road accident by building a robust security environment for the people.

Gratitude

The Konongo Divisional Police Commander, Superintendent Bossman Ohene-Boadi, who received the items, expressed gratitude to Dr Ogbordjor .

He said while the computer would be used to help data entry, the A4 sheets, the clocks and ceiling fans would be for administrative purposes.

For the motorbike, he said it would help the police in its usual patrol, especially during this time when tensions are high in the run-up to the December 7 elections.                                                                                                       Dr Ogbordjor commended other individuals like Alex Agyeman, aka Olu and Anthony Sebe, and all businessmen for their support and asked others to emulate them.

He also commended the Asante Akyem Central Municipal Assembly for its support to the police in security matters.
