Located at Teiman, Abokobi, in the Adentan Municipality, the facility, built in honour of an Equatoguinean student, Jose Maria Nsue Ndje, who died while studying in Ghana a few years ago, was funded by the President of Equatorial Guinea, Teodoro Obiang Nguema Mbasogo.

Addressing guests at a media launch last Saturday, the Executive Director of ISGC, Mr Julian Adomako-Gyimah, said the centre was committed to being the standard in hospitality across the African sub-region.

“Our mission at ISGC is to provide an efficient and holistic experience in the hospitality business,” he stated.

The Ambassador of Equatorial Guinea to Ghana,  Jesus Mba Bela Abaha, said his government was not only interested in promoting the well-being of its citizens in Equatorial Guinea both in and out of their country.

He said the facility would not only serve Equatorial Guineans but was also open to the general public.

Housing 126 fully furnished rooms with a capacity for 168 guests,  the facility has  a 208-capacity auditorium which doubles as a cinema by night, conference rooms, a fitness centre, a swimming pool, a restaurant, a salon, an infirmary, basketball and lawn tennis courts, a laundry, as well as an outdoor events centre with the capacity to accommodate  1,000 guests.
