Dr Rawlings presents gifts to Chiefs towards Homowo celebrations

Dr Zanetor Rawlings, Klottey Korley Parliamentary Candidate of the National Democratic Congress, has presented gifts to the Chiefs and other traditional authorities in the Constituency, towards the annual Homowo Festival.

Dr Rawlings at the weekend visited the chiefs of Adabraka, Osu, Osu Alata as well as the Osu Mankralo, where she presented maize, red oil, fish, schnapps and undisclosed amount of money to them.

Mr Emmanuel Ashaley Tetteh, Constituency Communications Officer, told the Ghana News Agency on Saturday that Dr Rawlings thanked the traditional elders for the advised they gave her when she informed them of her ambition to be a member of parliament for the area.

“She sought their blessings towards her campaign activities and appealed to them to intensify their prayers towards peaceful elections before, during and after the December 7 polls.

“She also advised the youth not to allow themselves to be manipulated by politicians to foment trouble,” Mr Tetteh said.
