Dr Okoe Boye unseats Sena Okity Duah in Ledzokuku

Scores of New Patriotic Party (NPP) supporters at the Ledzokuku Constituency in Accra have taken to the streets of Teshie to celebrate the triumph of Dr Bernard Okoe Boye as the new Member of Parliamentary (MP) for the area.

Dr Okoe Boye defeated incumbent Mrs Benita Sena Okity Duah by over 2,167 votes.
The shock win saw the NPP candidate overturn an 11,000 margin in 2012 to win convincingly.
According to some supporters of the NPP who spoke to Graphic Online, they voted massively against Mrs Okity Duah in order to have an indigene of Kedzokuku as their representative in parliament.
They explained that the Mrs Okity Duah did nott develop the constituency during her stay in power.
