He has, therefore, reported the incident to the Central Police Station, Kumasi to help trace the missing vehicle.

Narrating his ordeal to The Mirror, Agyenkwa said he had advertised for buyers for the vehicle which belonged to his uncle.

He said the unregistered Toyota Highlander (Hybrid) was offered for sale at the price of GH¢147,000, and one Ibrahim called him on phone, claiming he was interested in buying the vehicle.

Agyenkwa said he quickly drove from Bekwai to the premises of the Ashanti Regional Office of the Electoral Commission (EC) in Kumasi where Ibrahim had claimed to be a staff member.

He said on reaching the premises of the EC Office at about 9.35 a.m. on March 25, the man, who only gave his name as Ibrahim, requested to test drive the vehicle.

However, after granting his request, Ibrahim drove the vehicle at top speed and had since not returned it.

To his amazement,  Agyenkwa said, he later discovered that Ibrahim was not a staff member of the EC as he claimed, and a chase after him to retrieve the vehicle came to naught.

Agyenkwa, therefore, had no other option than to report the incident to the Kumasi Central Police Station.

The police in Kumasi have mounted  a search for the said Ibrahim and the stolen vehicle.
