‘Change your attitude to enjoy change’

The Chairman of Christ Apostolic Church International (CACI), Apostle Dr Stephen K. Amoani, has called on Ghanaians to change their attitude if they want to experience real change in the New Year.

He said no single person or government could transform the country if citizens themselves do not change their perspectives and

attitudes. He said the results of the 2016 election indicated people wanted change in the country but until individuals took responsibility for their actions and made conscious effort to change their lives and fix their attitudes, the change they voted for would be in vain.

“Greed, laziness at work, lateness, petty stealing, uttering of irresponsible comments, littering about and other behaviours which we consider irrelevant all contribute to the bigger problem.

These are attitudes we must change to enjoy the fortunes of the land,” he explained. Apostle Amoani said citizens of the country must also put aside their political differences and support the President-elect and his administration as kings are ordained by God.

He said Ghanaians on December 7 demonstrated to the admiration of the world that we are a peace loving and democratically matured country, adding that citizens must continue to set the pace in Africa by putting aside political jackets and working together for national development.

“Let us bury our political, ethnic and religious differences and work in unity to build a just and prosperous nation.” He also called on the incoming government to live up to the promises they made to the people during their campaign and allow the institutions in the country to work independently.

New Year, New Position

The chairman of the CACI stated that we must all be optimistic as the year 2017 was a year for God to complete all the good things he started in our lives this year, saying “ in 2017, the glory of the Lord shall be manifested in the lives of His people.”

“You will not have to fight this battle. Take up your positions; stand firm and see the deliverance the LORD will give you. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged. Go out to face them tomorrow, and the LORD will be with you,” the Bible commands in 2 Chronicle 20:17.

In the same vein, he said people must assess all aspects of their lives to see if they were living in accordance with the word

of God. Apostle Amoani said to enjoy this new position from God; we must love one another and always remember the Fruit of the Holy Spirit that sums up the attributes of a Christian life.

"But the fruit of the Spirit islove, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and selfcontrol," he quoted.

“Let us live by these principles and we shall see the glory of the Lord,” he advised.
