Founder and flagbearer of the Ghana Freedom Party (GFP), Madam Akua Donkor was part of a presidential delegation which paid a working visit to Italy last week.

Photographs published by the Flagstaff House Communication Bureau showed Madam Donkor was present at the Ghana Day at the Milan Expo 2015 and also at the Rodolfi Pomodoro A Parma Tomato Processing Plant.
There has since been a backlash over her inclusion in the President’s entourage to Italy.
However, it is not the first time the maverick politician has accompanied President Mahama on an official visit outside Ghana.
She was part of the president’s delegation that visited London, UK, recently on a trade and investment forum where she was captured on camera sleeping throughout the event.
Madam Donkor also accompanied President Mahama to Nigeria for the swearing-in of President Buhari in May.
She was also a participant at the National Economic Forum held in Senchi, Eastern Region in 2014.
