The businessman is also an independent parliamentary candidate for the Akropong Constituency.

Mr Asiedu Offei said he decided to offer such help to his Muslim brothers and sisters because they had over the years co-existed peacefully with the other groups of people in the area.

He indicated that such a peaceful co-operation had promoted peace and tranquillity in the constituency and called for their support for a peaceful election.

Mr Asiedu-Ofei, who has so far single-handedly provided 49 social amenities such as markets, clinics, water and sanitation facilities as well as rehabilitated a number of feeder roads in the area, assured the people that 21 other projects which he was funding would be completed and handed over to the inhabitants within the next three months.

At Adawso, one of the beneficiary communities, the Chief Imam, who is also the Zongo Chief, Adam Muhamed, expressed his gratitude to the donor for his assistance while at Korkormu, the Chief Imam, Malam Omaru, received the items and called for Allah’s blessings for Mr Asiedu-Ofei.
